TopRank Online Marketing is proud to announce that Director of Client Accounts, Jolina Pettice (@jolinapettice) has been named to the Board of Directors for search marketing association, MnSearch. Jolina assumed her position as Membership Director in July of 2012
Jolina has been with TopRank for over 7 years and has extensive experience managing search and social media marketing programs for companies ranging from McKesson to Marketo. Jolina’s consulting and account management work emphasizes an integrated mix of search engine optimization, online PR and social media marketing. Jolina has presented at online marketing industry conferences such as Search Engine Strategies and DPAC, and conducts on-site TopRank SEO workshops for companies.
What is MnSearch?
In an industry of constant evolution and innovation, the Minnesota Search Engine Marketing Association strives to help businesses and individuals keep a pulse on the latest news, trends, tactics and tools.
A non-profit organization founded for and by search marketing geeks, MnSearch aims to speak directly to the search marketing professional, and raise the standards and awareness of search in Minnesota.
Interview with Jolina Pettice, Membership Director
Jolina was kind enough to take a few moments to answer some questions about what initially drew her to the organization as well as reasons other search marketers should stay tuned to MnSearch.
Jolina, in your own words, what does MnSearch Do?
MnSearch provides a venue for people who are interested in search (organic and paid) to connect, advance knowledge and become better, smarter search professionals.
Why should someone join MnSearch?
MnSearch is a focused opportunity for local professionals who are interested in or specializing in search. We cover search and search related topics, allowing programming to stay focused and take deep dives into the information without getting distracted.
What originally drew you to become a part of MnSearch?
Search is how I got started in online marketing, so it probably has some sentimental value. More importantly, it’s a staple of how customers research, discover and make decisions online. So it makes sense to be a part of an organization working to carve a niche locally and help educate other professionals on search marketing.
What are some of your goals for the organization?
My goals officially are to help grow membership, which we are doing through relevant, actionable content, networking and great people. Alongside that, if I can help people – especially those that are new to the industry – get excited and passionate to learn more; that is a motivator for me personally.
