It’s full of 2.4 billion people, all searching for something different. There are millions of brands all screaming for the attention of the same people, making it quite noisy and hard to be heard.

For a company, winning on the search and social web is like trying to score in a football game with end zones that change location and players in 3 dimensions, while thousands of people just like them are trying to do the exact same thing.

Those challenges leave a lot of companies on the “this sucks” end of the playing field. A tendency to over focus on specific tactics complicates matters even more.

Breaking free of search, social media and content marketing silos by shifting from tactics and focusing on customer empathy helps companies approach online marketing more holistically. Doing so, helps brands become the best answer for what their customer is looking for exactly where they look for it.

Of all places, Coralville, Iowa is hosting an event designed to help organizations build better brands online through different digital marketing tactics like social media content, conversations and communities. The Social Brand Forum is one of the top 10 social media events and is spread across two days.

Our CEO, Lee Odden, will be presenting at the forum on October 24th. His Presentation, Win More, Suck Less: How to Optimize Your Social, Search, and Content Marketing will outline a practical approach to attract, engage and convert more new business in the places, and at the times that matter to customers. He will highlight several tools and processes that make it easier to do so, helping your brand’s voice be heard in the arena of online marketing.
