Ready to become a best answer brand?

TopRank Marketing's full-funnel influence and SEO/GEO solutions help B2B companies become the best answer for their customers.

The creator economy used to be consumer territory: hauls, hot takes, algorithm chasing. That’s changed significantly in recent years. Research for our upcoming B2B Influencer and Creator Marketing Report found that a majority of B2B marketing teams are running an influencer program, building one or planning to launch one within the year.

Aiding in this growth is the robust creator infrastructure that platforms like Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Meta have built out this year. These include dedicated tools, discovery systems, communities, and in some cases entire teams devoted to helping people build an audience.

For B2B brands, that matters. The people platforms are equipping to become better creators are increasingly the same people your buyers already trust: practitioners, former executives, analysts, people with real domain experience who are figuring out how to put it in front of an audience. It’s the same pool of talent that TopRank Marketing has spent over a decade helping brands identify and work with – and platform investment means that pool keeps growing.

Why B2B buyers trust creators more than brand content

Platforms are investing heavily in creator infrastructure right now because buyers have fundamentally changed how they discover, evaluate, and validate solutions.

Our own research backs this up
TopRank Marketing’s 2025 B2B Influencer Marketing Report and State of B2B Thought Leadership in 2026 Report point to the same conclusion:

    • Marketers running always-on influencer programs rate them as effective almost universally, at 99%.
    • 72% of the most advanced teams have a dedicated influencer budget they expect to grow.
    • Research-based content performs far better with credible voices attached: 73% of marketers who frequently collaborate with influencers call it very effective at driving engagement and leads, compared with just 29% of everyone else.

“Attention is harder than ever, but it’s no longer enough. Trust and belief are what serve the expectations of more disciplined buyers.” – Lee Odden, CEO, TopRank Marketing,

The wider market is telling the same story
Beyond our own research, broader industry data points the same direction:

    • Gartner predicts 80% of enterprise marketers will have integrated influencer marketing into their mix by 2027.
    • B2B buyers give more credence to content featuring trusted industry experts than to brand-produced content alone – a credibility lift Demand Gen Report puts at 87%.

B2B creators vs. B2B influencers: what’s the difference?

Before looking at what each platform offers, it’s worth grounding the conversation in a practical distinction TopRank has refined over 10+ years of running B2B influencer programs.

B2B creators earn attention through craft. They understand platforms, formats, and storytelling, and they often bring working knowledge of a B2B topic. Their communities live primarily online, and they’re strongest at the awareness and consideration stages – especially for solutions with shorter sales cycles.

B2B influencers earn trust through expertise. They’re most often industry experts with recognized domain authority, respected by peers and practitioners for hands-on experience. They typically monetize through consulting, books, speaking, or their roles inside brands. Their communities extend across social networks, podcasts, newsletters, private groups, and in-person events. They deliver the depth and credibility that larger, considered purchases demand.

The most effective programs include both. Creators expand your reach. Influencers deepen your credibility.

How Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms support B2B creators

The following is a platform-by-platform look at what’s actually being built to support creators, and what it means in practice for B2B brands.

    LinkedIn
LinkedIn launched Creator Marketplace and BrandWorks together in June 2026:

    • LinkedIn Creator Marketplace. A self-serve tool for discovering vetted creators by topic and expertise, checking their audience and performance, and surfacing content that already mentions your brand.
    • BrandWorks. An in-house team of brand, creative, content, and events specialists who work directly with marketers on strategy and production.
    • BrandLink amplification. Paid video placement alongside premium creator content, layered on top of organic reach and Thought Leader Ads.

LinkedIn backed the launch with its own research showing 82% of marketers say creators increase credibility with decision-makers: “As brands compete for attention and trust, they need more than great ideas.”

What this means for B2B brands: Both tools are still relatively new; Creator Marketplace is in alpha, limited to the US and Canada. Build your creator relationships now, so you’re ready when access widens.

    Google and YouTube
Alphabet Inc is also investing in creator visibility for its creator platforms.

    • Google for Creators. Provides creators with tools, products, and guidance to help establish, grow, and build their brand.
    • Google Search Profiles. A dedicated, shareable page that unifies a creator’s content across platforms and, per Google’s own framing, gives audiences “a dedicated, shareable space to highlight content across platforms.” With the threshold now lowered to 10,000 followers across YouTube, Instagram, X, or TikTok, eligible creators can trigger or enhance a Google Knowledge Panel.
    • YouTube Creator Community. An invite-only educational program designed to help creators expand their channel’s reach, master new YouTube features with product-specific training, and build lasting connections through a network of fellow creators.
    • YouTube Creator Partnerships. Gemini-powered discovery across more than 3 million creators in the Partner Program, plus measurement tools like Brand Lift and Conversion Lift.

What this means for B2B brands: Partnering with creators who have strong Google visibility is a direct investment in showing up in AI-powered search results, not just social feeds.

    TikTok
TikTok has replaced its original creator marketplace with TikTok One, adding new discovery tools in May 2026:

    • TikTok Creator Academy. Offers creators video courses and articles on how to topics, platform guidelines and policies.
    • Creator AI Search. Brands paste a plain-language campaign brief and get a shortlist of up to 200 matched creators in seconds.
    • Content Suite. Surfaces organic TikToks that already mention your brand, ranked by ad potential, with one-click Spark Ads activation.

What this means for B2B brands: Not a mainstream fit for many B2B categories, but the amount of B2B content on TikTok is growing fast and represents an early mover opportunity.

    Meta
Meta provides support for Creators and a Creator Marketplace, built into Business Suite, pairs brands with creators using first-party audience data.

    • Meta for Creators. A hub featuring support for Instagram creators and Facebook creators with tools for creators, resources on how to and support.
    • Partnership Ads. Ads that run under a creator’s handle rather than the brand’s, delivering 19% lower cost per acquisition and 13% higher click-through rates than standard formats.
    • Partnership Ads Hub. Automatically surfaces creator content that already tags or mentions your brand.

What this means for B2B brands: Strongest fit for visual products, events, and employer branding rather than core demand generation.

    Substack
Substack broke from its ad-free positioning in June 2026, launching native sponsorships and Creator Kits – shareable media kits that signal interest in brand partnerships – with launch partners that include Uber, T-Mobile, and Yahoo Scout.

    • How to Succeed on Substack. A resource center with inside tips and expert advice for writers and creators.
    • SubStack Creator Studio. A resource for creators to build subscription communities and products around video,

What this means for B2B brands: A direct line to the analysts and practitioners that your niche buying committees already read and trust.

    Reddit
Reddit doesn’t offer an official creator marketplace at all, but 74% of users say the platform influences their purchasing decisions, earned through community-validated expertise rather than platform tools. And there are plenty of subreddits covering creator and influencer topics including r/creators.

What this means for B2B brands: The playbook here is different – genuine participation in relevant subreddits does more for your brand than campaign spend alone.

How do these creator support platforms impact where we engage influencers?

The proliferation of creator support programs is genuinely good news for B2B marketers because it will grow the number of available creators to work with, but it also creates a new challenge: which is the best social channel for us to engage creators? The answer lies in matching the marketing challenge to the right platform, creator type, and program.

As Forbes contributor Jason Davis observed, the creator economy has entered an “era of consolidation,” moving from attention arbitrage to enterprise marketing infrastructure. The brands that win will treat these tools as part of a coordinated, always-on influencer marketing strategy.

The following framework maps common B2B marketing challenges to the appropriate platform programs and creator types, grounded in TopRank’s strategic approach:

Marketing challenge Creator type Platform / program Strategic alignment
Top-of-funnel awareness & brand humanization B2B creators (video-first, storytelling) TikTok One (Spark Ads), YouTube Creator Partnerships (Shorts), Instagram Partnership Ads Expand reach and make complex solutions relatable at scale.
AI-era search visibility & “best answer” positioning B2B influencers (analysts, subject matter experts) Google Search Profiles, YouTube Creator Partnerships (long-form) Co-create content with credible voices to dominate search intent and AI Overviews.
Mid-funnel consideration & decision-maker credibility B2B influencers + internal executives LinkedIn Creator Marketplace (Thought Leader Ads, BrandLink) Employees’ personal LinkedIn posts now earn 12x more engagement than company page posts, making employee and executive voices a real asset here.
Niche community trust & technical validation B2B influencers (practitioners, community leaders) Reddit AMAs, Substack native sponsorships Build durable credibility with highly engaged, self-selected professional audiences.
Event amplification & content distribution Both creators and influencers LinkedIn Creator Marketplace, YouTube, Instagram Activate trusted voices to extend event reach and co-create documentary-style content.

This reflects a core principle from TopRank Marketing research: the most effective B2B influencer programs are always-on and relationship-driven. Marketers who don’t take that approach are 17 times more likely to report their program as ineffective.

What B2B brands should do next

The platforms are designed to support creator development and increase the available inventory of talented voices B2B brands can engage with. Some platforms offer tools for brands for discovery, activation and measurement. What these platforms can’t tell you is which voices your buyers already trust, or how to turn a transaction into a real relationship. That’s still the brand’s job, and it’s what separates the B2B programs that work from the ones that don’t.

The brands that win here will pair this new infrastructure with a relationship-driven, always-on approach. The platforms have done their part. The question now is whether B2B marketers will use it.
